Science Rendezvous Educates and Entertains

On Saturday May 11, 2019, Western University hosted its 3rd Science Rendezvous at TD Waterhouse Stadium. Departments from the Faculties of Science, Arts & Humanities, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Health Sciences and the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, various on-campus groups, and local organizations were on hand. More than 1600 men, women and children of all ages attended the free event which included demonstrations, stage shows and hands-on experiences both in the afternoon and evening, including fireworks with spectroscopy glasses.

Thank yous are in order for all the volunteers who made this event possible, and a special thank you those who represented Physics & Astronomy so well at the Phantastic Physics and Visualizing Sound shows as well as the demo table. Finally, a big congratulations to the event coordinator, our own Jan Cami, and his team of organizers for putting on such a superb show. This is no small task and once again they did an amazing job.
