Who is invited?
Undergraduate students present their work on a summer research project, honors thesis, or any physics topic of interest, including interdisciplinary physics research. This year, we are eagerly expanding the conference to include nearby universities in Southwestern Ontario and across the border.
The conference will take place all day on Thursday March 9th, 2017, in the Physics and Astronomy Building at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. Our keynote speaker will be the director of SNOLAB, Dr. Nigel Smith, talking about SNOLAB’s Nobel prize winning neutrino searches. Registration to present a poster or give a short talk on a research topic is now open and can be completed here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1E7X_JIHSXJ4CWinwp6qUCvflBkcDGnZHJQk41fZJ2rI/edit
Each presenter (oral or poster) will be considered for PhUnC’s best presentation prize; the winner will receive a paid 12 week summer research position in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western University. Available projects and supervisors are listed here: http://www.physics.uwo.ca/undergraduate/current_students/Undergraduate%20Research%20Projects/index.html
